Privacy policy

The skills.lab is operated by Anton Paar SportsTec (a company of the Anton Paar Group). The protection and transparent handling of your data is important to us. This Privacy Policy is a more detailed description of the processing of your data in the context of the active use of the skills.lab regarding the Terms of Use, item “Pictures, Video Recordings and Data”, that you consent to.

skills.lab is committed to complying with the data protection regulations. To protect your data, generally accepted technical safety standards are used to ensure the best possible protection against misuse, loss or falsification.

1. Processing your data
You explicitly agree that the data provided and collected from you in the course of using skills.lab will be evaluated, processed and stored for the purpose of assessing and improving your and other skill.lab users’ performance. You also agree to the use of your data for research and development in this field.

The following data is provided by you:

  • First name, last name, residence, telephone, email, optional photo
  • Date of birth, weight and height
  • Club

The following data is automatically determined during the use of skills.lab:

  • Agility, speed, responsiveness, shooting speed, etc.
  • Image recordings, if selected in game mode / at the request of the client (club, coach)

2. Use of your data
You explicitly agree that your data may be stored, processed and used in the skills.lab database for analysis, performance statistics and reports as well as for research and development purposes.

Your complete performance data will only be made available to you personally or to your principal (club, coach). General comparisons between age groups, player positions, game configurations for orientation to the best, etc. are provided anonymously in the skills.lab.

Exception: Since skills.lab is understood as a factor of performance improvement, the orientation to a well-known top player in a game mode is performance-enhancing. If the respective top player does not want to be mentioned by name (immediately visible due to the results of the game), the request for anonymisation will be fulfilled immediately after the end of the game.

You have the right at any time to have data deleted relating to you and your performance (e.g. name, address, phone number). After three years of inactivity in skills.lab, the above mentioned data will be deleted by us (electronically and manually). Performance data remains anonymous in the database.

If your performance is recorded via video during a skill.lab use, you can select this option before starting a game unit. On request, the data will be transmitted to you or the principal (club, coach) electronically. If the video is published by skills.lab (e.g. YouTube), your consent is required. Videos are automatically deleted from the skills.lab database after 30 days.

3. Data transfer to third parties
Without your consent, your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. Personal data (such as images on YouTube) that you, your club or coach share or publishes is not the responsibility of skills.lab.

4. Your rights regarding stored data
You have the right to free information about what personal data we process from you. You also have the right of correction, deletion and limitation of data processing and data portability.

You may revoke your consent to the processing and use your data at any time with future effect.

If you believe that we process your data contrary to applicable law, you can always contact us by email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority or with the other competent supervisory authority (in particular in the member state of your place of residence or work).

5. Confirmation
By confirming the Privacy Policy on the registration form (put a tick or cross), you explicitly agree with it.
